This is one of the best damn shows I've ever heard. Maybe my favorite show of the year.
If this sbd wasn't so flawless, I would agree:

If the aud was really great, it might work, but I can't imagine it sounding any better than the above CM source. With a flat sbd, mixing it with the aud usually fills out the depth a bit. But with such a clean, full sounding recording, a matrix doesn't really serve to improve the sound imo.

Actually, a MTX might be kinda nice. I just checked out the aud from etree. Sounds pretty damn good. But like LIA noted, very little crowd noise. Bob's guitar is very clear in the mix, which is nice though. And I think Jubal might have started on this one already.

Yes, it sounds like a matrix is already underway.
I'm also wondering whether it would be that useful because the AUD and SBD sound so much like each other - mainly a louder Weir, and more 'room tone' from Phil & drums.

I couldn't help myself. Didn't wanna wait to see what this would sound like. After putting this together, I don't believe this is a good candidate for a MTX. The SBD is too good already. Just detracts from it imo, as I suspected.

Yea, other than that room tone, I don't know if there's anything else from the AUD that would make this a great matrix. An aud with little crowd noise isn't the ideal candidate for a MTX, to give you that "in the show" feel, but I'm curious to hear what this will sound like.
